A current sensor based adaptive step‐size MPPT with SEPIC converter for photovoltaic systems

Efficient maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is an important problem for renewable generation from photovoltaic systems. In this work, a current sensor based MPPT algorithm using adaptive step-size single ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC) solar system proposed. Due to lower sensitivity of perturbation as compared the voltage one, such scheme shown yield better efficiency at steady-state. A new adaptation also proposed faster convergence technique. Hence, yields transient well steady-state performance. prototype used along with digital implementation technique demonstrate superiority over fixed and ones. Simulation experimental results corroborates same.
